Choose Airport-Friendly Clothes
Wearing the right clothing will help you get through the security line in a breeze. Make sure that you have shoes that you can slip on and off comfortably. Also, wear pants and a jacket that do not contain metal, and leave your belt stowed in your luggage. That way, you can walk through the metal detector without a worry.
Keep Your Items Organized
Depending on how long you plan to travel, you might want to keep some coins on you. That way, you can purchase drinks and snacks easily. Coins, however, can set off metal detectors. Keep all of your money in a small coin purse. Also, use the coin purse to hold your keys and other small metallic objects that you might want to keep on you. This makes it easy to put your metal items on the conveyor belt instead of searching through your pockets as you stand at the metal detector.
Know What You Cannot Take on Board
Before packing for your flight, go over the list of items that you cannot take on board with you. This list can change at any time, so you should always consult the most recent one. If you don’t check the list, then you might have to throw away items that you thought you could take with you.
